Mason Cat Coalition

Student Walking on the Fairfax Campus

Welcome!

The Mason Cat Coalition is a volunteer group of faculty, staff, alumni, and students at George Mason University. Since we began in 1994, we have rescued and treated more than 400 cats and kittens that were either abandoned by students or dumped by the community.

As a solution, the Mason Cat Coalition:

  • Maintains feeding sites
  • Places cats and kittens in available homes
  • funds veterinary services for rabies vaccines and spaying or neutering
  • Works with other cat rescue groups in the area including Alley Cat Allies, Fancy Cats, HART, and others.
